Another day at the grindstone

Another not-enough-wind-and-too-much-sunshine type day. Yes, if you are a sailor there is such a thing. But a great day out.

Half way there

Up the stick again

Spending our evenings and early mornings working on stripping and varnishing the mizzen mast. Slow but steady progress, the weather has not been entirely helpful. Only problem is we are going sailing this Saturday, so that creates a little bit of pressure to get things done...

Almost fully stripped. The lower half, that is. Bite sized chunks or you go mad.

Base primer coat on, the top half is still untouched. Maybe we will set a trend with two-tone masts.

An Awesome Day

I super-duper day out yesterday with a cast of thousands. As usual, it seems, the wind did not play ball much, but we at least got some sailing in.

Striptease

We have started stripping the mizzen mast, so we can varnish it to match the main mast we did previously. Lot's of pain, and only the lower half scraped so far. Today I sand...

All good things must end

Back at home base. A lovely week away, but back to work tomorrow. Such is life.
