Spurt

Question: What happens when a pinhole tear opens up in the bellows of the pump for your vacuum toilet system?

Answer: It keeps working, except it now forces a high pressure stream of shit out of the pump and sprays it in every direction inside the locker, and keeps doing so over a period of days until you start to notice the funky smell.

Just thought you might like to know.

Happy New Year

Sailing at last... a few pics.

Off Motutapu

Isi preps the tender

Heading out to Great Barrier Island

Isi tests the new cockpit squabs. We have been working on these while we are away, will post some shots when finsihed.

Looking back from top of Kiwiriki Bay in Port Fitzroy

They're up to something...

New years eve in Kiwiriki Bay

Leaving Great Barrier Island.

I include this shot simply because this is the first time the nav station has looked like this in living memory. It will soon revert to a collection point for tools, sewing gear, art supplies, un-filed filing, and general crap that can't find a home anywhere else.
