Enough of Doing Nothing

I've not posted in a little while. This is due to a combination of jet-lag, nasty virus, too busy at work, and good old fashioned just-plain-ran-out-of-steam-and-don't-give-a-crap. But now motivation is returning.

We have decided the winter work schedule is going to focus on finishing off all the cabins. Well, finishing off the master stateroom and the starboard cabin, we haven't actually even started on the port cabin. So it will be master stateroom first (paint, some varnish, some bits of woodwork), then the starboard cabin (some woodwork) and then the port cabin (go find somewhere else to live, Emma, we're tearing this sucker apart).

So, more scraping, sanding, varnishing, painting... Groundhog Day.

Above the port locker in the master stateroom. For some reason they decided to paint over the teak on the cabinside, when it is varnished everywhere else. Cleverly they applied a sealcoat to the wood before painting, so the paint comes off nice and clean.
