Grand Reveal

Cabin side paint is done, chrome is fitted, looks great.

And we've finished sanding up the starboard cabin and primed it ready for varnishing, Once this is done it's just the foredeck and capping rail, and then I can hang up the varnish brush for a while.

  1. Hello, and greetings from SoCal! My father in-law Frank worked on Kamalii full-time for I believe about 25 years, until Larry donated the boat to the Sea Scouts in the mid 1990's. In fact, Larry gave my father in-law the 1957 Ford Ranchero car that was purchased, at the time Kamalii was built, to help with the maintenance of the boat. My brother in-law still owns the car!

Anyhow, the boat is looking great and we enjoy the YT vids that you made. Outstanding work on all fronts and I'm sure Kamalii is on her way to a fresh, new beginning. Your hard work has put a smile on lots of faces around here. :)

I'll check back in from time-to-time. Cheers!

  2. Hi Craig! I saw a photo of that Ranchero, saddled with so many sails they had them strapped to the bonnet! Thanks for the feedback - I do like to hear from the wider "Kamalii" community.
